Supervisors
Co-supervision is a highlight of the IECL supervision policies, with the goal of each student being supervised by at least two experienced professors. The supervision teams continuously supervise the progress made by students. To ensure that the students will complete their research within the proposed timeframe, supervisors provide as much support as is possible and necessary.

Methods and technical equipment
The methods and technical equipment employed in IECL research are determined by the needs of the scientific questions asked. The following methods and resources are routinely used in research at the University of Potsdam:
- Event-Related Potential (ERP)
- functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)
- functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
- Eye tracking
- Reaction time measurement
- BabyLab
- Diagnosis and therapy facilities for children with SLI/developmental impairments and adult subjects with acquired aphasia, dyslexia, dysgraphia and associated disorders (Center for Applied Patholinguistics of Potsdam and Berlin, www.zapp-potsdam.de;www.zapp-berlin.de)
